Environmental Policy
The CKS Group (CKS) is committed to operating in an ethical and environmentally sensitive manner. CKS is conscious of its responsibility to manage and protect the environment through the professional operation of its activities, whilst ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for its employees.
This policy is a public statement of CKS's commitment to the protection and enhancement of the environment for the future. To ensure business sustainability and quality of life in the future, CKS will work to the following guidelines and principles;
- To maintain a program of continual improvement in relation to waste and pollution reduction in all areas of the business where possible.
- To set clear objectives and targets for the achievement of continual improvements in environmental performance.
- Please refer to the document entitled Environmental Objectives Ver1.0 for a clear understanding of the CKS?s current objectives.
- At all times, all components of the CKS Group will comply with and wherever possible exceed existing environment, health & safety (EHS) and other pertinent legislative requirements. CKS will endeavour to lead in any relevant development of existing or new legislation.
- Provide appropriate EHS information for all employees, contractors and other business partners and the general public to raise awareness of their environmental responsibilities.
- CKS will strive to retain both ISO9001 and ISO14001 to ensure a quality operation working within procedures designed to minimise environmental damage.
- CKS will give preference to suppliers and sub-contractors who share the same philosophical approach to EHS and ensure that they work to the same high standards of environmental awareness.
This Environmental Policy will be reviewed on a continual basis and re-assessed in line with CKS Group business activities or legislation.
