Initially reporting to the Managing Director of CKS Electronics Recycling Ltd this is a challenging and diverse role which has as its focus the need to source incoming material for
the company?s newly built waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) factory based in the West Country/West Midlands area of the UK.
CKS was established in 1997 to focus on asset management and end of life issues within the ?IT? Industry and related emerging markets. With ISO9001, ISO14001 and Investors in People (IIP)
accreditations we have established an enviable reputation of providing bespoke solutions on a Pan European basis to meet our customer?s needs.
The candidate will need to be able to further enhance these and new operational standards as they are developed. Required to work within a formalised structure the successful
candidate will be required to participate in weekly team meetings and to work within any additional regulatory framework as communicated for specific projects.
Experience of performing tasks that relate to the identified key qualifications and experiences of the role is preferred; however as a company committed to staff training,
this position offers the opportunity to develop missing skills in this regard. The holder of this role will need to be contributing from day 1 and so the skills identified as being
immediately available are as follows:
Immediate Skills and Requirements
Basic understanding of the WEEE directive is a fundamental necessity
Ability to define a strategic approach to immediately grow this business
Prepared to identify, prospect and secure business from an open market and be measured against agreed targets
Work as part of a small team with multi-faceted roles but able to keep focused on sales activity
The desire and ability to progress within this role or into a position with enhanced responsibilities
